Gabor Peterdi

Gabor Peterdi was a Hungarian-American painter and print-maker (1915, Pestújhely, Hungary - 2001, Stamford, Connecticut).[1] He emigrated to the United States in 1939 and taught print-making at Yale.[2] He was a major influence on younger American print-makers including Robert Bero. His work is held by the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the National Gallery of Art and the Smithsonian American Art Museum, among other institutions.[3]
